Work Starts on Mountain Rescue Base
The first work on the new Mountain Rescue Base for Aberglalsyn MRT started today.

Mike's picture of the first work on the Aberglalsyn Mountain Rescue Team's base building, creatively enhanced by Louise Morgan.
Following a period of cloudy but warm weather, site preparation work started on the Team's new base on a bright day. The day provided some great photographic opportunities.
The base will become home to the Team, who have not had a permanent, dedicated, building for some 10 years. A building is vital to protect the team's equipment and act as a training and meeting venue. Operationally, it will be invaluable, acting as the hub of many rescue operations.
As you would expect, funding this is a great challenge, and any donations would be gratefully accepted by the team - details at http://www.aberglaslyn-mrt.org
The team is very grateful for the donations from corporate & individual donors, NatWest Community Force and the support of Balfour Beatty & Jones Brothers during the construction of the Porthmadog by-pass.
